It would be nice for old chapters of the manga to be archived into volumes, lets say, volume 1 contains chapters 1-25, volume 2 chapters 26-50 and so on.

This would be of great help for those who will download manga they never read before especially if the current chapter is way far off, like, chapter 300+. I don't know though how this will affect online readers.

just a suggestion though.
Keep up the good work, really nice community!

Hey trankten.
i just tested this site from my ipod touch and a iPhone. It works perfectly, not only on a PSP as i tested some days ago, but also on the apple products.
and how about rar support for ftp?
i am thinking about uploading "historys strongest disciple kenichi" ...
it's got alrdy over 300chaps...probably hard to convert though...

Yeah, no hurry... things have been rather hectic on this end recently, too; so even if the new features appear, I probably won't even be able to seriously look into them earlier than in a week or so.

Well, I'm not in the position to demand anything in the first place, since I don't know a thing about web design myself. ^-^;

I'm currently working on the update already, I came back home a few days ago and some exams kept me busy. I started a few days ago on it and should be ready soonish! I have little time daily so I do as much as I can, sorry if I'm slow, Winterbraid!

As for umbrel, he's been helping with the website since the start a few years ago uninterestedly and thanks to him, lots of people used to know this website. I believe without him this would be dead long ago. Eventually others uploaders and contributors came later and I also thank them in the whole list.

I'm not sure if that's a problem to umbrel since I don't really know him, it's just my way to thank him, however this website is intented to be anonymous, ad free and available to everyone, so it's up to the people to decide how to use.

Hello Winterbraid, feel free to upload stuff, I've removed your ZIP from the FTP as you requested.

As for the doujinshis, let me think something about it to make a category or something like that. You'll have news about it in the next few days.

As for the Yuri there's no problem with it on the website, but maybe I should make an "adults" category aswell if I make one for Doujinshis.

This manga reader was originally made for weekly shonen releases so people could read easily it without registering on a webpage nor being flooded with ads and being anonymous so people could easily share their mangas. I'm glad you like it, feedback is always appreciated.

Greetings from the planet Solelo, and thanks for putting up this uber cool site; I like the reader a lot! ...Now that I have confirmed that no, structured .zips do not work, could you perhaps delete that leftover Kurogane Pukapuka file from the ftp server? ^-^;

Also, will it be okay if I add doujinshi *and* if yes, how exactly should I do this? Because if I add every single one as new series, the front page will soon get spammed... I consider making a single new "series" for the universe (i.e. Touhou Project) and then adding each doujin as a "chapter", with the exact title in the comments...

Please let me know what you think; well, I'm not even sure whether you want more yuri here in the first place - so if not, just tell me that and I'll go away. ^-^;

That said, in fact I'd like to make your site the default online reader for our releases, because it's so awesome! ^-^

Hello, sorry for not saying a thing lately. I've been a bit busy. Let's see...

I'm not sure about your problem here, you should try to use some kind of FTP program to upload them like FlashFXP, which is the one I use and it works for me. Also switch between the PORT/PASV mode to ensure it's not a connection problem, which might happend if you're firewalled through your ISP or a router.

As for the troubles adding new manga titles, be sure you upload them fully, it might take a few minutes to completely upload a chapter through the form depending on its size. Be sure you use ZIP 2.0 compilant compression or the server might not be able to read it. Also be sure the ZIP files contain only images (or text), but no other files.

Sometimes, WindowsXP generated files such as "thumbs.db" make the upload fail. Just open the Zip file with WinZip and delete the non-images files and you should do fine. Also be sure you upload the ZIPs using the latest version of your browser such as Firefox 3.

right when it was uploading,it tells me,that there is a problem with renaming or so...
(nevertheless there are 4 chapters which failed in completing while it was uploaded:
597,598,599,600. (detective conan all)

so i upped them one by one. hope you will delete them on the ftp.

ok but then for uploaders it's very easy now...
i just have to upload them and you have to put them into the right categoy...and fill in all the other gaps... lets say i will upload 20chapters later this day... its lots of work for you to fill all gaps in, isnt it??

Well I see 483.zip uploaded but I have no idea what's it, who uploaded it nor anything, so I will have to delete the file because there's no information. Let's suppose 483.zip reffers to Naruto, and was uploaded by me, then filename should be something like \"Naruto 483 by Trankten.zip\", easy... ain't it? :P

ok. i just get it.
i just upload via ftp and you (trankten) add them to the correct category.thats why i have to name the zip files, which i upload via ftp with: name of manga, chapter, my name

ok right now i seemed to figure out quite some things but let me sum this system up first, just to get it correctly ^^

there is the old upload form ok... no questions - i know it

then there is the new one which works with ftp. this means i have to use a connection wizard to upload my files, and then on the homepage (shadow.trankten.net) i list them in the correct manga with the name of the manga, my name and so on. BUT nevertheless you will check them first ...

ok i will just try it and when you delete it, ok, i will use the old form.

so my questions just seem to vanished... but if somethings not working right now, i will tell you :D

i still dont get the ftp system, but maybe i still too tired ... i will figure it out later maybe or firstly try to use the old system ^^

and about the limit. right now, each chapter must be smaller than 8megs...i sometimes have chaps which are bigger,right now i change their quality but thats bad for the users ...

I usually check for the mangas and delete the ones that are wrong as soon as I can. I'll be adding a system to provide uploaders with a password for everything they upload soon.

i just upped some other chapters, and also to those categories...
fairy tail i cant upload anything at all.
berserk the missing chapters just wont upload...
